A ONE HOUR SHOW FOR 5-11 YEAR OLDS
INTRODUCING SHAKESPEARE'S MAGIC
Based on the character recreated by Chris Harris, Will Kemp, “Shakes-kids” is an introduction for young people to Shakespeare. A clown show that compliments any visit by Chris Harris and Kemp's Jig by providing a show for children.
While the main emphasis is, of course, on fun it has educational qualities that introduce children to the Bard without being bored. Mime, music, poetry, magic: the very elements that give Shakespeare's work its universal appeal are explored in Harris' inimitable style along with plenty of participation, of course. The show provides excellent opportunities for follow up workshops in clowning, Shakespeare, personal development, mime and story telling.
